our second stay here in barcelonnette was just as wonderful as the first. la grande eperviere's beautiful charm and comfortable beds made for a perfect night's sleep. the friendly owner went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, providing helpful tips and opening the garage early in the morning for our departure. a true gem in the area.
parking signage could be improved.

Loved chilling in the cozy lounge with TVs, books, and board games. Convenient parking for my car and bike. Enjoyed exploring local crafts with hotel-organized excursions. Just a short walk to town. Great for hiking, cycling, and skiing in the nearby national park and ski resort.
Soundproofing is top-notch. if you want to hear everything that's happening in the next room!

The rooms at La Grande Eperviere are absolutely beautiful! The balconies overlook the park and the stunning Ubaye Mountain range. As someone who loves nature, I couldn't get enough of the view. The private bathrooms are a nice touch too, with walk-in showers and free toiletries. Everything was just perfect for me!
Honestly, I struggled to find anything wrong with my stay. But if I had to nitpick, I guess some people might not enjoy the bath or shower options in the private bathrooms.

The hotel was conveniently located close to the city center, making it an easy walk to all the holiday festivities. The ample parking was appreciated during the busy Christmas time. The breakfast offered was a nice touch and helped get the day started right.
The main road location was noisy during the morning traffic, and some of the rooms were affected by the noise. navigating to the hotel was challenging due to the lack of clear signage, which added to the stress of holiday travel.

The bright and cozy guestrooms at La Grande Eperviere were a real treat. I loved waking up to the stunning views of the park and the majestic Ubaye Mountain range from my balcony. It made me feel like I was in the heart of nature, which is exactly what I was looking for as a nature lover and low-budget traveller.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the bath or shower combination in the private bathroom. However, I understand that some guests might still enjoy it, so it's just my subjective opinion.

This hotel had a great location just outside the town centre, making it a quick walk to all the bars and restaurants I wanted to visit. The parking was also ample and free. The hotel had a lovely breakfast with plenty of choices, and the staff was welcoming and accommodating. Finally, the room was clean, spacious, and had all the necessary facilities.
Almost perfect.

The size of the room was great, with plenty of space to move around. The large windows in the room allowed for a lot of natural light to come in, which was a nice touch. Another positive aspect was the ample parking available on the premises, making it convenient for guests with cars.
The rooms lacked a modern and stylish touch, which was a bit of a letdown. the narrow bathtub made showering and bathing a bit challenging.

Great location, spacious rooms and proximity to ski slopes. Friendly staff who helped us with our ski gear. The breakfast was a nice touch and the view from the windows was stunning.
The hotel staff was not helpful in accommodating our needs during the busy new year period. The heating was not great and the room cleanliness was lacking.

The hotel's location is really great, being situated in a most beautiful valley and within walking distance of some really lovely walks along the chemins on the slopes of the valley. it's also pretty close to the town's center. The breakfast, according to one review, is really very good, and the staff are very nice.
The bathroom may not be the most comfortable according to one review, which mentioned the shower being located in a bathtub and being uncomfortable.
